Hello. I’m Helen.
For those who are new here — welcome. And for those who’ve been here a while — thank you for being part of this space 🤍
I’m 51.
I’ve never followed a strict gym routine.
I don’t have visible abs, sculpted arms, or a “before and after” story.
My body has cellulite. Stretch marks. History.
And honestly? I’m okay with that.
I’m not the fittest, strongest, or most muscular person in the room — and I’m not trying to be.
I’m just trying to be a little better than I was yesterday.
More aware. More informed. More mobile. A little stronger. A little more confident in what my body can do.
What I want to say — especially to women — is this:
it took me a long time to get here.
For much of my adult life, I was in survival mode.
Raising children on my own.
Running a business.
Keeping everything afloat.
There wasn’t much space — or permission — to prioritise myself.
So yes, I was late to the party when it came to putting my own health, movement, and wellbeing higher on the list.
But I’m really happy to say: I’m here now.
And if that’s you too — you’re not behind.
I want this space to be guilt-free and judgement-free.
Because trying — showing up imperfectly — deserves to be celebrated.
I believe deeply that it’s never too late to make positive changes, especially when it comes to movement and health.
We don’t need perfection.
We don’t need complicated routines or extreme regimes.
Small, consistent changes over time make the biggest difference — not just to our bodies, but to how we see ourselves.
The internet can be overwhelming.
Workouts. Diets. Wellness hacks. “Do this, don’t do that.”
I see it in my clients too — physio exercises for shoulders, knees, hips… and then I come along and add foot exercises to the list 😅
It’s a lot.
So here’s what I want you to know:
I’m human too. I have flaws. I have goals. I’m learning as I go.
I’ve been a podiatrist since 1997.
For a long time, I knew very little about functional foot health. I did my best — treating pain, removing corns and calluses, prescribing orthotics — believing I was addressing the cause.
I’m proud to say I know so much more now.
I’ve evolved — as a person and as a practitioner.
And that’s what I want to offer you:
Permission to evolve.
Permission to change your mind.
Permission to see your feet — and your body — differently.
Your feet are not weak, broken, or passive.
They are dynamic, dexterous, adaptable, strong, and resilient.
They matter for balance, confidence, movement, and longevity.
I want to help you understand your feet, your mobility, and your footwear better — and to gently question whether constant cushioning and disconnecting from the ground is really serving us in our modern lives.
If you’re here because you want to move better, feel more confident in your body, and take care of yourself without shame or pressure — you’re in the right place.
You don’t need to be perfect.
You’re not late.
You just need to begin — or begin again.
